what we’re wearing before it’s actually warm

aka delusion season (but make it cute)

It’s not warm yet.
But mentally, it is.

There’s always that in-between stretch where it’s technically still cold, but no one wants to dress like it anymore. Coats feel aggressive. Boots feel wrong. But it’s also…40 degrees.

So we compromise.

A tiny tank under a sweater that keeps falling off one shoulder.
Not practical, but it looks right.

Light layers that don’t fully make sense.
A cardigan, but open. A jacket, but barely on.

Jeans and a white tank, pretending it’s enough.
(It’s not.)

But add a small gold detail—something subtle, something intentional—and suddenly it feels styled, not seasonal confusion.

Bikinis bought way too early.
Tried on. Re-tried on. Planned for trips that aren’t for another two months.

Clipped with a tiny charm already, just to see.

Waterproof jewelry worn under long sleeves.
No one can see it, but that’s not the point.

It’s staying on for when it is warm.
We’re just getting ahead.

Sneakers without socks (questionable).
A tote bag that feels like spring.
Sunglasses coming out way too early.

Delusion, but a controlled version.

Small details start to matter more right now.
They’re the easiest way to shift a look without fully committing.

A charm on a bag.
A tiny gold piece layered under everything.

Hints of summer, without freezing.

Spring break outfits planned in your head.
Summer accessories already in rotation.
Bikini charms clipped on before they ever see the lake or ocean.

It’s not warm yet.
But it will be.

And when it is, you won’t have to think about it.
